Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

For our Horse Trek, we recommend at least intermediate riding experience. You should be comfortable controlling a horse at all paces and have experience riding for several hours at a time. Don't worry if you're a bit rusty - we'll have a refresher session before heading into the mountains.

We use sturdy, sure-footed Mongolian horses that are perfectly adapted to the mountain terrain. They're smaller than Western horses but incredibly strong and agile. We provide traditional Mongolian saddles with added padding for comfort during long rides. They're different from Western saddles but you'll quickly adapt to them.

Our yurts are authentic but comfortable. Each one is equipped with proper beds (not just mats), quality sleeping bags, and a small wood stove for chilly nights. They're spacious enough for 2-4 people. While there's no electricity, we provide solar lanterns. The bathroom facilities are clean but basic - expect outhouses and simple shower setups with heated water.

The mountain passes vary in difficulty, with the highest reaching about 2,800 meters. The horses handle these expertly, but riders should be prepared for 4-6 hours in the saddle on some days. The views are absolutely worth it! We take regular breaks, and our guides are experts at pacing the journey to accommodate the group's comfort level.

When creating your application video, be yourself and speak from the heart about why this trek calls to you. We're looking for genuine enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure rather than technical perfection. Mention any previous riding experience and what draws you to Mongolia specifically. Keep it under 3 minutes and ensure we can clearly see and hear you - that's all we need!
