You embrace basic conditions (yurts, tents, hostels, shared spaces)

You are open-minded, adaptable, and bring positive group energy

You prefer luxury and comfort over experience

You dislike basic/shared accommodation

You are not physically prepared for multi-day high-altitude hiking

You expect rigid schedules

A Note on Health

A few travelers experience tummy issues in Central Asia. If you have a sensitive stomach, we advise preparing with charcoal tablets and Imodium. The highest point is 3900m; be aware of altitude sickness symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

You don't need to be an Olympic athlete, but you should be comfortable hiking for 6-8 hours with elevation gain. The trek reaches about 3,500 meters, so basic fitness is important. We take it slow, with plenty of breaks to enjoy the scenery and catch your breath. If you can comfortably walk for a few hours in your home city, you'll manage just fine with our supportive guides.

Let's be honest - they're basic! Yurt camps have simple outhouse-style toilets (clean but rustic). When camping, we use a portable toilet system with privacy tent. It's all part of the adventure! We provide biodegradable wet wipes and hand sanitizer. Most travelers find it much easier than they expected, and the spectacular mountain views make it all worthwhile.

For the Round Trip, basic riding experience is helpful but not essential. Our Kyrgyz horses are smaller than Western horses and very steady on mountain terrain. We'll have an orientation session before setting off, and our horse guides are experts at matching riders with appropriate horses. The rides are at walking pace, focusing on enjoying the scenery rather than technical riding skills.

We take altitude seriously and design our itinerary with proper acclimatization. The highest point on our trek is around 3,500m at Ala Kul pass. Most people experience only mild symptoms like slight breathlessness. Our guides are trained to recognize signs of altitude sickness and carry appropriate first aid. The best prevention is staying hydrated, taking it slow, and listening to your body - all of which we encourage!

Stomach upsets can happen when traveling, but we take precautions. We provide filtered water, our cooks maintain high hygiene standards, and we bring quality ingredients. I recommend bringing basic stomach medication just in case. Most travelers have no issues at all, but it's good to be prepared. Our guides always have a comprehensive first aid kit including medication for common stomach problems.

Keep it simple and authentic! I'm looking for your personality and genuine interest in the Round Trip experience. Mention why you're drawn to Kyrgyzstan specifically and what aspects of the journey excite you most. No need for fancy editing or perfect lighting - just you speaking from the heart for 1-3 minutes. The content matters more than the production quality!
